Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation
Y.B. Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Johnity Ongkili is the current Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation. He furthered his studies at La Trobe University, Melbourne in the field of Agricultural Science and Agricultural Economics and earned his Ph.D. in 1985. He completed fellowship and summer programmes at the United Nations University in Tokyo and the Harvard Institute for International Development in Boston.
Dr. Maximus joined politics in early 1994. He was a member of the National IT Council and a pioneering member of the National Service Training Council. After winning two state constituency seats in the general elections of March 2004, he was appointed a Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of National Unity and Integration and subsequently appointed by the Prime Minister to be the Chairman of the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).

President, Malaysian Education Management and Leadership Association
Professor Dato’ Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid is Deputy President/Deputy Vice Chancellor of INTI-UC Laureate International Universities and Professor of Management, Education and the Social Sciences. He served as Professor of Management, Leadership and Policy Studies and the Founding Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at University Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR) for seven years before taking the post of Director, RCEP. For more than two and a half decades he has been a key figure in the field of educational management and leadership in Malaysia.
Professor Dr. Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid is the recipient of the “Tokoh Kepimpinan Pendidikan Kebangsaan” (National Educational Leadership Award), which is the highest Educational Leadership Award in Malaysia awarded only to a few individuals who have demonstrated distinguished and exemplary leadership across institutional, national and international contexts.

Chief Executive Officer, Multimedia Development Corporation
Datuk Badlisham Ghazali was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in January 2006, a position that requires him to provide exemplary leadership to drive the organisation in translating the Government’s vision of transforming the nation into a Knowledge-based Economy through the MSC Malaysia initiatives.
He is also a member of the Ministry of Education’s Cluster School Advisory Board and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation’s National Science Centre Advisory Board. Prior to his appointment in MDeC, Datuk Badlisham was with HP Malaysia for 18 years where he was the Director and Country General Manager of HP Technology Solutions Group.
Badlisham holds a B.Sc Degree majoring in Computer Science from the University of Northern Illinois, USA and a Diploma in Computer Science from Mara Institute of Technology, Malaysia.

National President, SMI Association of Malaysia
Mr. Chua Tiam Wee, 56 is the National President of the Small and Medium Industries Association of Malaysia and Vice-Chairman of APEC SME Alliance. With over 20 years of business experience in the steel and aluminium industries, Mr. Chua is currently CEO of the ASEAN Trade Centre and holds an MBA from University of East Asia, Macau and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) degree from University of Malaya.
He has held the post of National President of SMI Association of Malaysia, which has over 3000 members nationwide since 2005. He also presented papers on SME issues at many international conferences such as China Asean Business Summit in Nanning, China (2008) APEC SME Conference in Taipei (2009), Global India MSME Summit in New Delhi, India (2009), and APEC SME Alliance Summit in Qingdao, China (2005, 2007) and APEC SME Technology Conference in Fuzhou, China (2010).

Chairman, Media Prima Berhad
Johan is currently the Chairman of Media Prima Bhd, the country’s largest integrated media company. He was the Group Editor of Utusan Melayu Bhd from 1992 to 1998 as well as a former Chairman of the Board of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).
When the government mooted the idea of a Multimedia Super Corridor, he was one of the first persons to be appointed to the board of Multimedia Development Council (known as MDC at the time). He was a member of the Malaysian Business Council (MBC) and a member of a committee on Malaysia Incorporated.
He was also a member of the National Brains Trust on National Education, set up by the National Economic Action Committee (NEAC). He was Head Jury for the Asia Pacific Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur in 2005. He was once the Chairman of the Malaysian Arts Council.
